The project dealt with a complex context on a difficult site, in the middle of Denmarks second-largest city, Aarhus.
By working with two intersecting systems, the building interacts with itself and its context.
By removing the existing base of the highrise, the building becomes a campanile relating to the new buildings.
The placement of apartments on the courtyards removes them from the noise and polution from the intersections.
